BERLIN – The Senegal representative to the 13th Petersberg Climate Dialogue (PCD) in Berlin greeted Egypt and Germany for their co-operation in co-chairing the dialogue on climate change.
Addressing the opening session of the 13th PCD, the Senegal representative underlined the importance of maintaining global temperature in order not to exceed 1.5 celsius, pointing out to the negative impact of heat waves.
He called on all participants in PCD to take all necessary measures to decrease carbon emissions and increase the financial framework for global climate action.
The Senegal representative also pressed the need for raising funds to secure the global action programmes implementation similar to what happened during the coronavirus pandemic.
