Speaker of the Senate Abdel Wahab Abdel Razeq has lauded the tireless efforts of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on the internal and external fronts.

Abdel Razeq made the remarks on Thursday, while he was opening the sixth and final regular session of the first legislative term.

At the domestic level, President Sisi launched major national projects, including modern road networks, new cities, and pioneering social initiatives that have touched the lives of millions, Abdel Razeq said.

The Senate speaker also highlighted the president’s focus on human development through investment in education, healthcare and digital literacy, as well as his efforts to provide opportunities for young people and women to play a real role in shaping the future.

The president stood firm in leading the State’s fight against terrorism to restore Egypt’s stability and security, said Abdel Razeq.

On the international front, the Senate speaker said President Sisi has restored Egypt’s regional and global standing, strengthened ties with Arab and African partners, and faithfully supported African issues in global forums.

He stated that the president also built strong partnerships with major powers and remained a consistent advocate for peace and stability in the Middle East.

Abdel Razeq commended Egypt’s steadfast stance on the Palestinian cause, saying Egypt, under Sisi’s leadership and in close coordination with Arab and Islamic nations, the US and other international partners, continues the efforts to end the war in the Gaza Strip, deliver humanitarian aid to the Palestinian enclave’s residents, stop repeated Israeli violations.

He also reiterated Sisi’s rejection of attempts to forcibly displace Palestinians from their homeland, stressing that the two-state solution would lead to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

On the 52nd anniversary of the October War victory, the Senate speaker extended his greetings to the President, as being the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and to the Egyptian people, wishing the country’s more security and stability.

Turning to the work of the Senate, Abdel Razeq praised the dedication of Senators over the past five sessions, which he said had enriched Egypt’s parliamentary performance.

He also expressed appreciation of the sustained efforts of the government, led by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, citing the constructive cooperation between the executive and legislative powers in addressing domestic issues and advancing development.
