CAIRO – Proceedings of the second and last day of the 35th international conference of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs at the Ministry of Religious Endowments (Awqaf) kicked off on Monday.
The conference is held under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and chaired by Awqaf Minister Osama El Azhari. The theme of the two-day conference is centered around the importance of empowering women, highlighting their crucial role in various aspects of life.
The conference brings together ministers, muftis, and scholars from more than 60 countries for discussions about the “Role of Women in Building Awareness.”
The conference addresses several key topics, including the role of women in building religious and cultural awareness, their role in serving society, building families, and raising children, the Egyptian experience in empowering women, and promoting the values of tolerance, coexistence, and peacebuilding.
The Ministry of Awqaf noted in an earlier statement that the message of the conference is that the participation of women in all fields of social, political, economic, and religious life makes the world more just, peaceful, and secure.
