Chairman of the General Authority for Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) Walid Gamal Eddin said that the authority is now seeking to promote cooperation with BRICS countries after Egypt had officially joined this important economic bloc.
Gamal Eddin’s remarks came at a meeting with Brazilian Ambassador in Cairo Paulino Franco de Carvalho Neto, according to a statement by SCZone Thursday.
The meeting probed cooperation in sectors of mutual concern, with special focus on industrial activities and and green fuel, the statement read.
Such communication is setting the stage for further cooperation with the Brazilian business community in various fields, said Gamal Eddin.
SCZone is ready for receiving different types of industries and offering various maritime services through its ports, according to him.
In turn, Neto underscored the importance of steps made by the Zone regarding the green fuel file.
BRICS is a grouping of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa.
