Chairman of the General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone Walid Gamal el-Din has affirmed that the Ain Sokhna Industrial Zone continues to strengthen its position as one of Egypt’s leading integrated industrial and logistics hubs, providing a competitive environment that supports export-oriented manufacturing and attracts high-quality investments.
Speaking during the signing of the contract for the Beybi Egy Industrial Gloves Manufacturing Company project at the authority’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, el-Din said the ready-made factories initiative in Ain Sokhna has become a successful model for accelerating industrial investment by enabling manufacturers to commence operations quickly while enhancing the added value of Egyptian products.
He noted that the new investment reflects the authority’s strategy of attracting specialised industries integrated within industrial value chains.
The project complements the textile, spinning and weaving sectors while supporting production for export markets and strengthening integration between existing and future industrial activities across the Ain Sokhna Industrial Zone.
He added that these efforts reinforce the Suez Canal Economic Zone’s ambition to build a diversified, regionally and globally competitive industrial base.
The project will be established within two units of the ready-made factories complex developed by the Main Development Company (MDC), the development arm of the authority, in the Ain Sokhna Industrial Zone.
With investments of $1.5 million, equivalent to approximately LE74.4 million, the facility will cover 2,800 square metres and create 100 direct job opportunities.
Production is scheduled to begin by the end of this year, with future expansion plans aimed at increasing manufacturing capacity and expanding the company’s presence in international markets.
The ready-made factories project has become one of the authority’s key investment solutions for supporting investors and accelerating project implementation.
Building on its success in Ain Sokhna, the model is currently being expanded through a similar development in the Qantara West Industrial Zone as part of the authority’s strategy to provide integrated industrial infrastructure that enhances Egypt’s competitiveness as a regional manufacturing and export hub.
