The Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) is working with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to launch the second phase of technical support.
SCZone chairman Eng Yehia Zaki said phase two entails the establishment of an interactive service management facility, to which new services can be uploaded onto a digital platform.
Phase one involved the re-development of the first set of priority services that will pave the way to restructuring and digitisation of services for investors within the SCZone 2020-2025 strategy.
“The launch of the second phase of cooperation with (EBRD) will improve performance at the SCZone’s one-stop shop, an official statement said, adding that the co-operation regulate the current status of services and special procedures for investors,” the statement said.
“It will provide technical support to improve services by raising the efficiency of human resources in the one-stop shop, plus automating all services to simplify procedures and documentation,” Zaki said during his meeting with EBRD Vice President Mark Bowman.
“The Bank is pleased that co-operation with the SCZone is contributing to a successful delivery of an autonomous, digital and interactive one-stop shop,” Bowman said.
“The SCZone’s project is a good example of how we can speed-up the rollout of digital services,” Bowman added.
