CAIRO/GUANGZHOU – Led by chairman Walid Gamal el-Din, a delegation of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) Sunday inspected the Ro-Ro station and the logistic center for storage and distribution of the Chinese ZHL Group.
The group manages and operates the 1.7-km-long RV station, which deals with 60 shipping lines with an annual volume of 650 ships at Nansha Free Trade Zone.
Gamal el-Din also visited the storage area of about 45,000 cars. The delegation also toured the car distribution center.
The Guangzhou Port is built over an area of 400,000 square meters with a total of three berths.
At the end of the visit to Guangzhou Port, Gamal el-Din met with the head of Huawei for the North Africa region to discuss aspects of cooperation between the two sides.
The meeting also focused on efforts to advance modern technology that Huawei follows in many service technologies, such as smart cities and the digitization of procedures at ports.
They also talked about what Huawei offers in terms of modern technologies in green energy projects.
