Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) Walid Gamal El Din on Monday highlighted the significance of the maintained upgrade of ports’ infrastructure, facilities and services, alongside providing them with cutting-edge navigation equipment.
He asserted the considerable potential of ports, which are affiliates of the maritime zone 6, in handling cargos and giant machinery.
This came in a statement issued by the SCZONE after Al Adabiya Port received the general cargo ship DA QING XIA coming from China to unload containers carrying 2,630 tons of concrete structures set to be used in the construction of EIPICO 3 pharmaceutical factory.
Erected on an area of 10,000 square meters, the factory will be inaugurated by the end of the second quarter of 2024, with total investments standing at EGP 1.2 billion.
