The Suez Canal Economic Zone enjoys capabilities, a favourable investment climate, and vast opportunities for collaboration with the Polish business community, SCZone Chairman Waleid Gamal El-Dein said Wednesday.
Addressing the Polish-Egyptian Joint Economic Cooperation Committee meeting in Warsaw, Gamal El-Dein added that the SCZone has successfully bolstered maritime trade with its ports on the Red Sea and the Mediterranean. “These ports, combined with industrial zones capable of hosting various industries, provide ready-made production hubs close to regional and global markets. ”
He showcased the investment opportunities available in target sectors, reiterating Egypt’s commitment to advancing bilateral economic relations in all areas.
The SCZone chairman also held several bilateral meetings with Polish companies interested in exploring investment opportunities in targeted sectors. These included Hynfra, a renewable energy company planning to build a green hydrogen plant in Egypt, and Tabor-Dębica, specializing in repairing and manufacturing vehicles and locomotives.
He met with Poland’s Minister of Economic Development and Technology Krzysztof Pawiński to discuss potential cooperation in industrial and service sectors targeted by the SCZone, particularly in the technology field.
