The scientific programme of the World Conference on Health and Population obtained a certificate of accreditation from the Egyptian Health Council, spokesman for the Health Ministry Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said on Sunday.
The program was organised by the ministry on September 5-8 under the sponsorship of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
By this accreditation, attendees of the programme will be granted 18 accredited training hours, he said.
He reiterated the ministry’s keenness on providing training opportunities to staffers operating in the health sector to ensure high-quality health services.
The Egyptian Health Council replaces the Egyptian Authority for Doctor Training, which was established by a government decree in 2016.
The council is in charge of raising the scientific and clinical capacities of new doctors and medical workers in the health sector.
