Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef asserted that Egypt and Saudi Arabia have great economic potentials that qualify them to meet the local market needs and export to foreign markets, praising the unlimited support of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to the sectors of industry and investment.

The minister’s remarks were made during his visit to Al Araby Group of Companies in the industrial zone in Menufiya’s city of Quesna on Monday.

Menufiya Governor Ibrahim Ahmed, Chairman of Al Araby Group and Chairman of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce ( FEDCOC) Ibrahim El Araby and a galaxy of board members of El Araby Group welcomed the Saudi minister upon his arrival.

Talks covered means of enhancing joint co-operation between the two sides in the fields of trade, industry and investment.

Alkhorayef asserted Saudi Arabia’s keenness on co-operating with El Araby Group to expand its products and exports along with meeting the needs of the Saudi market, noting that all efforts are needed to counter the successive economic crises facing the world.

He also voiced happiness over visiting such great industrial edifice in Egypt and said he is seeking a joint industrial integration based on the joint industrial strategies of both countries.

Meanwhile, the Menufiya governor said Egypt and Saudi Arabia are bound by strategic and historic ties that qualify them to reach to an integrated economic co-operation that could serve the best interests of the two countries.

El Araby Chairman, for his part, said his group has always been seeking to beef up co-operation with the various world countries to increase its exports and upgrade its products through clinching a number of co-operation protocols.

A documentary film on the history of El Araby Group was screened during the Saudi minister’s visit to the complex.
