The National Coalition for Civil Development Action launched on Sunday the 20th phase of the Satr and Affia Convoy in al-Maasara Village and the areas around it in Mallawi Centre, Minya Governorate.
Fourteen coalition member organizations came together to provide services to 25,000 people living in the village and the surrounding areas.
The launch of the Satr and Affia Convoy comes within the framework of directives by President Abdel Fattah ElSisi for supporting citizens in need around the nation.
These directives move hand in hand with the plan of the coalition to expand development action nationwide.
The plan aims to provide the necessary support to needy families in all governorates and reduce burdens on them.
These efforts by the coalition also aim to mitigate the effects of the current global economic crisis on citizens and contribute to achieving the sustainable development goals in all fields.
The convoy launched by the coalition in al-Maasara Village on Sunday provided a variety of services to citizens, including medical services that consisted of a wide range of specialties for the detection, treatment, follow-up of disease.
The same services included the early detection and treatment of eye problems, blood pressure and diabetes.
They also included the early detection of breast cancer, along with family planning and reproductive health services and tips.
The volunteers participating in the convoy distributed food to the residents of the village as part of the coalition’s charity activities.
They also delivered blankets and quilts as part of the Winter Defence Campaign.
Thirteen trucks full of supplies for the residents of the village and the surrounding areas participated in the convoy.
The convoy also included a children’s carnival that consisted of a puppet show, an exhibition for the distribution of clothes at discounted rates and other activities.
