The Egyptian Gazette, in cooperation with al-Gomhouria Training Centre, continued its translation and press writing course for students from Sadat Academy.
The course comes within the framework of efforts to equip academy students and graduates with the skills needed in the labour market.

During the third week, the students received both theoretical tips and practical training from Egyptian Gazette Assistant Editor-in-Chief, Yousra el-Sharkawy, who is also the Culture Editor of the newspaper.
Her lecture focused on cultural and artistic writing basics and the coverage of cultural events.
El Sharkawy also familiarised course attendees with the different techniques of cultural reporting and translation.
On the practical side, the students were trained in writing and translating cultural and film festival news and feature writing.

They were also allowed to practice film review writing after watching the short film, The Other Pair, produced by the Egyptian Cinema Institute.
At the end of the lecture, el-Sharkawi asked the students to prepare film critiques that she will assess during the next lecture.

The lecture saw strong student participation through writing, translation, and group discussions, helping reinforce the skills targeted by the course.
