South Sinai Governor Khaled Mubarak has conducted an inspection tour in Ras Sedr, in line with the political leadership’s directives to improve services offered to citizens and ensure the availability of essential goods.
Accompanied by local executive officials, MPs, and Bedouin community representatives, the governor inspected several developmental and service projects.
The governor began his tour at “Mousa Coast,” one of the oldest tourist villages on the Red Sea.
Mubarak held a dialogue with local leaders on enhancing local services, ensuring basic utilities such as electricity and water, and promoting the Ras Sedr’s unique assets, including 95 km of sandy beaches, therapeutic sulfur springs, and diverse tourist facilities. Ras Sedr’s proximity to Cairo and its safari attractions also make it a growing destination for both local and international tourists.
The governor later inspected the “Mousa Springs” checkpoint, where he commended the security forces on duty, and emphasised the importance of balancing safety measures with efforts to boost tourism.
Mubarak also inspected the strategic warehouse for foodstuff and the ‘Delta Market’ branch in the village of ‘Abusweera’, where he reviewed the ongoing efforts to ensure availability of basic commodities on a sustainable basis.
The governor also toured the Ras Sedr Hospital, applauding recent upgrades that serve 35,000 residents, and visited youth and educational facilities, including a center for differently-abled students.
