Voting on the second day of the runoff round of parliamentary elections for the 19 annulled constituencies in the first round kicked off.
As many as 70 candidates are competing for 35 seats.
Voting is taking place inside Egypt on 27 and 28 December, following overseas voting on 24 and 25 December. Final results are scheduled to be announced on 4 January.
The second round of voting is taking place in 19 annulled constituencies, with 1,694 polling stations spread across seven governorates: Giza, Assiut, Sohag, Qena, Alexandria, Beheira, and Fayoum.
This round is part of the final phase in the formation of the parliament, according to the timeline set by the electoral authority.
