Egypt’s Minister of Social Solidarity Nevine el-Qabbaj received on Thursday deputy Minister of Communication and Information technology Khaled el-Attar to discuss the government’s digital transformation strategy and “Ohms” project for interconnection among ministries.
The meeting tackled many topics of mutual concern between the two ministries and the possibility of connecting the data of all government ministries and associations – especially from the beneficiaries from the social protection services introduced by different ministries
The meeting showed the progress regarding mechanising the social care system, including data of institutions housing orphans and homeless children as well as elderly homes.
The meeting also reviewed what has been accomplished so far regarding connecting between ministries concerned with the rights and services of people with disabilities.
Deputy Minister of Communications and Information technology presented the goals of “Ohms” project planned to be executed by the Ministry with the aim of creating interconnection between different government institutions and ministries.
