CAIRO – Egyptian Minister of Environment Yasmine Fouad said on Wednesday the youth, civil society organisations, companies, and institutions seeking to take part in the upcoming UN Climate Change Conference (COP27) can now reserve pavilions and side activities at Sharm El-Sheikh’s green zone as part of the conference via the following hyperlink: https://www.cop27.eg/#/conference#green-zone.
The minister made the remarks during her tour of the green zone in the Red Sea resort city of Sharm El-Sheikh, where COP27 is set to be held in November.
Fouad’s visit was meant to follow up on creating the infrastructure of the green zone.
It also comes as part of the minister’s field visits to follow up on Egypt’s preparations for hosting COP27.
The minister said Egypt provides opportunities – through the green zone – for the youth, women and civil society from across the world so that COP27 would be an inclusive conference that brings together all stakeholders with a view to showcasing national projects and the “new republic”.
