CAIRO– Chairman of the State Information Service (SIS) Diaa Rashwan said Egypt has taken great steps in the field of human rights in their comprehensive sense; civil and political rights as well as economic and social rights.
Rashwan made his remarks in the editorial of the issue No. 9 of the Studies in Human Rights journal, noting that Egypt witnessed positive developments in various human rights files in 2022.
He lauded President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s call for holding the meetings of the National Dialogue to discuss national issues with the participation of all political powers under the constitution and law.
Rashwan also praised presidential decrees on releasing more than 1,000 prisoners.
He commended the state’s great efforts to counter the global economic crises, lauding the launch of the presidential ‘Decent Life’ initiative to improve the living standards of citizens nationwide.
