Doha – Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, warmly received Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi at the Amiri Diwan in Doha on Monday, marking a significant step in bolstering relations between the two nations.
Upon his arrival in the Qatari capital, President Sisi was greeted with an official reception, underscoring the importance of this visit. The Presidential Spokesman, Mohamed el Shennawy, announced that the day’s agenda includes an official session of talks between the delegations of both countries, culminating in a summit meeting between President Sisi and the Qatari Emir.
President Sisi’s arrival in Doha on Sunday marked the first leg of his Gulf tour, which will also take him to Kuwait. The overarching aim of this regional tour is to enhance cooperation across all sectors and to address pressing regional developments, with a particular focus on the Palestinian issue and ongoing efforts to achieve a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.
