CAIRO – The delegations of Qatar and Hamas have left Egypt and are expected back within two days after they have reached a consensus about terms of the final agreement, a high-ranking source said Monday.
The source was quoted by Al Qahera News as having stressed Egypt’s continued efforts to reach a truce deal in the Gaza Strip, especially with tangible progress reported regarding points of dispute.
The round of negotiations in Cairo has witnessed progress in bringing viewpoints closer and approaching an agreement on major aspects among all parties, he noted.
The US and Israeli delegations will leave Cairo within hours, the source said, adding that negotiations will resume within the coming 48 hours.
