Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli attended Thursday the signing ceremony of three co-operation protocols to settle debts owed by national press institutions to three governorates.
The protocols involve the National Press Authority, as well as Cairo, Giza, and Qalyubia, covering Al-Ahram, Akhbar El-Youm, and Dar El Tahrir for Printing and Publishing.
The protocols also aim to enhance collaboration in printing, publishing, and advertising.
Madbouli emphasized the state’s commitment to supporting national media institutions, improving their financial standing, and resolving accumulated debts to alleviate financial pressures and promote economic sustainability.
In turn, Chairman of the National Press Authority Abdel Sadek El Shorbagi said the protocols reflect the state’s policy of settling debts of public institutions.
They set a framework for cooperation to provide printing, publishing, and advertising services to the governorates while settling outstanding debts through partial payment offsets for services rendered, he added.
