CAIRO – Proceedings of the Egyptian-Serbian businessmen council kicked off on Sunday in the presence of Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli and President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić.
A number of Egyptian and Serbian businessmen also took part in proceedings.
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and his Serbian counterpart attended on Saturday the signing of a large number of economic co-operation agreements between the two countries.
Ahmed el-Wakil, President of the General Federation of Egyptian Chamber of Commerce, said that Egypt is characterized by huge opportunities at all levels due to the economic and political stability it enjoys.
He said the Egyptian people believe that free trade and the private sector are the way for progress and stability.
Egypt changed its laws to stimulate its economy, attract more investments and create more job opportunities, said Wakil.
He also said that Egypt launched a package of projects including some in the new Suez Canal corridor, in addition to land reclaimation projects.
He said Egypt’s population exceeded 100 million a matter that turned it into a big market in the region, pointing out Egypt’s location is unique which makes its an important crossroad for world trade.
