Egypt’s Minister of Planning and Economic Development Hala el-Saeed on Tuesday attended the 5th Development Leaders Summit, the FingerPrint Summit, under the theme ‘The First Forum to Promote Investment Opportunities in the Public and Private Sectors’.
Addressing the event, organised by the Terous Misr Foundation for Development, the minister stressed the importance of engaging the private sector and civil society organisations in achieving sustainable development in line with Egypt Vision 2030.
The minister reviewed government efforts to stimulate domestic and foreign direct investments, referring to economic reforms of a few years ago to reinvigorate the local economy.
The government has adopted a number of facilities and incentives to encourage investors to launch fresh development ventures nationwide, the minister added.
The Egyptian state has in the last few years invested hugely in infrastructure in order to attract domestic and foreign private investment and improve living standards.
