CAIRO – Prince Charles of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall will embark on a historic visit to Egypt on Thursday, said British Ambassador in Cairo Gareth Bayley, according to MENA.
The two-day visit comes as part of a tour, which will take them to Jordan as well.
This is the first ever foreign tour of its kind by Prince Charles and his pouse since the onset of Covid-19 pandemic worldwide, according to him.
Prince Charles’ visit is the third of its kind and the first following June 30 revolution and progress and achievements made in Egypt, said Bayley.
The visit strongly reflects distinguished relations binding Egypt and the UK. It will contribute to enhancing humanitarian bonds between the two countries, he added.
