BRUSSELS – Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi had talks on Friday in the Belgian capital, Brussels, with his Tunisian counterpart Kais Saied on means of enhancing bilateral ties.

In statements, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi said that President Sisi asserted the deeply-rooted ties between the two countries and Egypt’s keenness on consolidating cooperation with Tunisia at all levels.

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi had talks on Friday in the Belgian capital, Brussels, with his Tunisian counterpart Kais Saied on means of enhancing bilateral ties.

President Sisi also stressed Egypt’s support for measures taken by Tunisian President Kais Saied and his efforts to overcome all challenges during the current stage to achieve stability and security in the country and to build a better future for the brotherly Tunisian people.

For his part, the Tunisian president lauded relations between the two countries at the official and public levels, as well as Egypt’s achievements over the past years at the internal level in the fields of security, stability and development.

Saied also underlined Egypt’s prominent political leverage at the regional and international levels, a matter that has a positive impact on joint Arab and African action and efforts made to reach political settlements to the crises in the region.
