CAIRO – President Abdel Fattah El Sisi stressed Egypt’s support for Yemen’s unity and stability.
He accentuated that Egypt backs the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council in its efforts to clinch a political solution to the Yemeni crisis.
He made the remarks on Saturday during a joint press conference with the council’s head, Rashad al Alimi.
Sisi stressed Egypt’s support for the efforts being exerted to realize a just political solution, promote peace and stability and end the suffering of the Yemeni people.
During the talks, Sisi underscored Egypt’s steadfast stand on deepening relations with Yemen and supporting legitimacy and unity in the Arab state.
He highlighted Egypt’s full support for all efforts aiming at achieving peace in Yemen as well as backing for the council in its hard mission to serve the best interest of the Yemeni people.
Sisi welcomed Alimi on his first official visit to Egypt after becoming the head of the Presidential Leadership Council.
