President Abdel Fattah El Sisi affirmed on Monday Egypt’s readiness to support and participate in development efforts in Equatorial Guinea within the framework of the Egyptian keenness on supporting sisterly African countries and belief in common destiny of the peoples of the continent.
The president’s statement came his meeting with President of Equatorial Guinea Obiang Nguema – on the sidelines their participation in the 8th edition of Egypt International Energy Conference and Exhibition “EGYPES 2025” at the Al-Manara International Conference Center in the 5th Settlement in New Cairo, said Presidential spokesman Mohamed El Shennawy.
The two leaders emphasized the importance of propelling working mechanisms of the African Union (AU), along with activating the union’s various programs to enhance
joint African action, accentuating
full commitment to working together to
help achieve interests of the continent before international forums.
The meeting also took up peace and security on the African continent, means to achieve stability and need to continue promoting bilateral relations, in a way that would serve the interests of the two peoples and open new scopes of cooperation in the various fields, the spokesman added.
