Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez confirmed the extreme danger of escalating operations in the Palestinian city of Rafah.
This came in a phone call received by President Sisi from the Spanish prime minister.
During the phone conversation, the two sides discussed bilateral ties and praised the level of bilateral relations and the momentum they are witnessing, said Presidential Spokesman Ahmed Fahmy.
They also voiced keenness on further strengthening ties in the various spheres for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries, added the spokesman.
They further reviewed Egypt’s efforts to attain a ceasefire in Gaza Strip and allow the unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid to the war-ravaged enclave, according to the spokesman.
The Spanish prime minister, for his part, lauded Egypt’s crucial role on the political and humanitarian fronts to end the ongoing crisis, he further said.
