Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi signed Law no 20 of 2022 authorizing the Finance Minister to guarantee the state-owned EgyptAir Holding Company on its flights to and from Russian airports in the event of accidents, whether as a result of normal operating conditions or as a result of the dangers of wars and kidnapping.
The guarantee shall be valid for a period of two years or until a decision is issued by the cabinet to terminate it due to the availability of the necessary insurance coverage before the end of this period.
The law was published in the official gazette on Tuesday.
