ISMAILIA – Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi stressed the importance of the Egyptian leadership’s insightful vision during the October War period and its aftermath.
At that time, Egypt fought, won and earnestly strived to restore the land and achieve peace, the president said in his word during the military inspection lineup of the Sixth Armored Division of the Second Field Army in Ismailia governorate.
“Peace is a strategic choice for the Egyptian state,” President Sisi said, making it clear that Egypt, its Armed Forces, and State institutions have “no hidden agenda”.
In spite of the difference in military capabilities, the Egyptian state managed to achieve impressive victory in October 1973, with its indomitable will and genius vision, the president said, noting that this war has achieved lasting peace for Egypt.
“War is the exception, and peace, construction and development are the basis, and what is happening in the region was a real test for this strategy,” the president added.
