PARIS – The closing session of the New Global Financial Pact Summit kicked off on Friday in Paris, with the participation of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
Sisi’s participation in the summit comes at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron and in light of the close strategic ties between the two countries, as well as Egypt’s active role at the level of emerging economies in general in a way that contributes to promoting international initiatives aimed at supporting developing and least developed countries.
The two-day summit aims to overhaul the structural imbalances in the global financial system.
Around 50 heads of state, along with representatives from international institutions and civil society attend the summit.
