Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has laid a wreath on the tombs of the unknown soldier as Egypt marks the 51st anniversary of the October War victory.

The president was accompanied by General Abdel Mageed Saqr, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defence and Military Production, and Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces.

Sisi also laid wreaths on the tombs of late presidents Anwar Sadat and Gamal Abdel Nasser.

The president also shook hands with a host of veteran warriors and commanders of the Armed Forces and statesmen.
