Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi launched the website and mobile application of Qur’an Radio on Monday, as a “message of love from Egypt to the world.”

The launch coincided with the Ministry of Awqaf’s celebration of Laylat al-Qadr and the closing ceremony of the first season of the “Dawlet El Telawa” (State of Recitation) initiative.

The “State of Recitation” is a prominent Egyptian Quranic TV programme produced by the Ministry of Awqaf in collaboration with United Media Services, with the aim of discovering and nurture young talent in Quranic recitation.

According to Presidency Spokesperson Mohamed El-Shennawy, the ceremony featured a visual presentation of Dawlet El Telawa.

President El-Sisi honoured winners of the competition across its various categories, as well as of the 32nd International Holy Qur’an Competition.

The celebration took place at Al-Manara International Conference Centre in New Cairo, and was attended by senior state officials, including Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli , Speaker of the House of Representatives Hesham Badawi, Senate Speaker Essam Eddin Farid, Minister of Defence and Military Production, Lieutenant General Ashraf Salem Zaher, and Minister of Awqaf Osama Al-Azhari, along with several other ministers and officials.

Addressing the event, President Sisi voiced pride in the “State of Recitation” initiative, which he described as an inspiring Egyptian experience that reflects the creativity and cultural leadership of the Egyptian people.

The initiative successfully brought Egyptian families together around the beauty of Quranic recitation and strengthened the nation’s connection with its religious and cultural identity, the president said.

President Sisi highlighted Egypt’s long-standing reputation as a global source of distinguished Qur’anic reciters whose voices have inspired Muslims worldwide.

He said that Egypt hopes to see similar initiatives in other fields, leading to the emergence of a “state of knowledge”, a “state of creativity and innovation”, and a “state of eloquence”, ensuring Egypt’s continued leadership across multiple domains.

Sisi also emphasised that the challenges facing the country require patience, determination, and hard work.

Building the New Republic depends on effort, knowledge, and development projects that will benefit future generations, he said.

President Sisi sent a “message of peace from the land of peace on a night of peace”.

Reaffirming that peace is essential for humanity, the president called for ending escalation, protecting lives, and serious negotiations to resolve regional conflicts.
