Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Sunday received a phone call from Jordanian King Abdullah II.
The two leaders discussed the developments of the situation as well as the ongoing escalation between the Palestinian and Israeli sides, said Presidential Spokesman Ahmed Fahmy.
President Sisi and King Abdullah asserted the significance of rallying regional and international efforts towards putting an end to the ongoing escalation and violence.
They, also, affirmed the necessity of exercising self-restrains in order to stop the bloodletting and prevent further deterioration of the situation.
They agreed on continuing and intensifying consultation and coordination between Egypt and Jordan with the aim of reinforcing the de-escalation efforts and propelling a comprehensive and just path for the Palestinian issue on the basis of the two-state solution, the spokesman added.
