In a heartfelt tribute to Egyptian women and ideal mothers, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi reaffirmed their indispensable role in shaping the nation’s progress. Speaking at a ceremony honoring their contributions, the President highlighted the enduring resilience, sacrifice, and leadership of Egyptian women throughout history.
The event was attended by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, along with a distinguished assembly of female ministers and public figures. During the ceremony, the President engaged with participants and reviewed key initiatives aimed at advancing women’s empowerment and social inclusion. A presentation by the head of the National Council for Women showcased the council’s extensive efforts in promoting female leadership and economic participation.
Ministers Maya Morsi of Social Solidarity and Rania Al-Mashat of Planning and International Cooperation outlined the government’s initiatives, including Takaful and Karama, which aim to provide economic support for women, particularly those heading households. A documentary film further illustrated the state’s commitment to enhancing women’s rights and opportunities.

President El Sisi engaged in discussions on various societal issues, including motherhood, Alzheimer’s awareness, and the impact of art and media in shaping cultural values. He underscored the significance of Egyptian women in fostering social cohesion and stability, emphasizing their role as the backbone of the nation’s identity and heritage.
In his speech, President El Sisi extended warm greetings on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, coinciding with the Great Lent observed by Christian Egyptians. He expressed his sincere appreciation for Egyptian mothers, recognizing them as symbols of resilience and sources of inspiration.
“The Egyptian mother is not only the nurturer of her children but also the guardian of our nation’s identity and cultural heritage,” he stated. “She instills the values of love, tolerance, and belonging, shaping enlightened generations capable of embracing responsibility and overcoming challenges.”
Reflecting on the historical significance of women in Egypt’s civilization, the President acknowledged their contributions across various fields, from science and literature to medicine and education. “Since the dawn of history, every stride of our Egyptian nation carries the indelible mark of the Egyptian woman—a partner in the course of life, a scholar, a doctor, a teacher, a mother, and a daughter.”
El Sisi reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening the status of women and ensuring their safety and rights. He pledged to continue encouraging and celebrating exemplary female figures in all scientific, cultural, and social spheres. “We reject any form of violence or violation against women. I have directed the government to confront all forms of violence and to provide a secure environment that upholds their dignity and safety.”
Addressing the broader challenges facing Egypt and the region, the President emphasized the nation’s growing responsibilities in an increasingly turbulent global landscape. “Despite these difficulties, hope for the future remains our guiding light. Together, we will overcome challenges and work towards fulfilling the aspirations of our people.”
Concluding his speech, President El Sisi reiterated his unwavering belief in national unity and collective progress. “Hand in hand, we will continue striving to serve our country and improve our society. Our ability to stand together is the key to achieving the aspirations of the Egyptian people.”
