CAIRO- Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received on Sunday a phone call from British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
During the phone conversation, the two sides tackled the latest developments in Sudan, as well as mutual efforts in this respect, said Presidential Spokesman Ahmed Fahmy.
Sunak, meanwhile, referred to Egypt’s crucial role in maintaining peace and security at the regional level.
The two sides further voiced deep concern at increasing violence in Sudan, saying that civilians are also facing the risk of increased violence.
They also drew attention to efforts to evacuate Egyptian and British citizens from Sudan.
President Sisi reviewed Egypt’s relentless efforts in order to encourage all sides to reach a ceasefire agreement and put an end to the suffering of the Sudanese people
