Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi asserted Egypt and Denmark have strong and deep-rooted relations.
This relationship has witnessed remarkable development in different domains over the past years, added president Sisi in a word while signing the Danish Parliament’s Guestbook at the Danish Parliament’s headquarters in Copenhagen on Saturday as part of the state visit he is paying to Denmark.
Both countries are seeking to foster such bonds and build bridges of communication between the two nations, he went on to say.
The president said he is happy and proud to visit the Danish Parliament and meet with Speaker Søren Gade as part of his visit to “friendly” Denmark.
The president’s trip to Denmark started on Thursday. The visit is considered the first by an Egyptian president to the European country.
President Sisi pointed out to the fruitful cooperation between the Egyptian and Danish parliaments.
This cooperation will -for sure- play a central role in supporting cooperation and achieving joint goals, he noted.
President Sisi confirmed Egypt is a state which believes in the values of democracy and the importance of dialogue, understanding and joint coordination.
“We are looking forward to promoting cooperation with Denmark at the parliamentary level through the exchange of visits and experiences, taking into account the country’s rich history and strong parliamentary traditions,” he said.
President Sisi and Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen will have talks later in the day about ways of boosting bilateral relations on all fronts.
