Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El‑Sisi held a phone call with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman following the Iranian attack that targeted Saudi territory.
According to the spokesperson for the Egyptian Presidency, President El‑Sisi expressed Egypt’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia, both its leadership and its people. He reaffirmed that the security of Saudi Arabia is an integral part of Arab national security, stressing that any violation of Arab state sovereignty poses a direct threat to regional stability and further heightens tensions.
Presidential spokesperson Mohamed El‑Shenawy added that President El‑Sisi emphasized the need for intensified regional and international efforts to contain the situation. He reiterated that political and diplomatic solutions remain the most effective path to resolving crises, warning that continued military escalation would only deepen the suffering of the region’s populations and undermine prospects for development.
For his part, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman expressed appreciation for Egypt’s supportive stance, praising the deep historical ties and strong brotherly relations between the two countries.
