BAKU – Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi affirmed Egypt’s interest on promoting bilateral ties with Azerbaijan, in a way that realizes a quantum leap in cooperation between the two countries.
President Sisi also underlined Egypt’s keenness on propelling bilateral ties in the various economic, trade and cultural domains and building on what was achieved between the two countries over the past years.
Speaking during a joint press conference with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on Saturday, President Sisi emphasized the importance of activating the trade exchange between Egypt and Azerbaijan in order to be up to the level of the joint political ties.
President Sisi further pointed out to the two countries’ potentials in recycling and exportation, saying that such issue will figure high between the two sides during the sixth session of the joint committee, which is scheduled to be held in Egypt next year.
President Sisi, meanwhile, voiced confidence that his visit to Azerbaijan will act as a launchpad to further promote the Egyptian-Azerbaijani ties in the various fields, especially in the economic and investment spheres.
