The European Union and Egypt signed a number of agreements, including an aid package worth 4 billion euros, during the summit.
President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, during her reception of President Sisi, affirmed that these agreements will contribute to creating more trade and investment opportunities for Egypt and enhancing economic cooperation between the two sides.
The EU also announced additional investments of 1.8 billion euros in cooperation with European financial institutions, alongside 600 million euros that will be allocated to a number of specific development projects, including 200 million euros to support efforts to reduce irregular migration flows.
