COPENHAGEN – President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Friday laid a wreath at memorial park in the Danish capital, Copenhagen, after visiting the ancient castle.
President Sisi and King Frederik of Denmark rode a horse-drawn carriage, accompanied by royal knights, to Amalienborg Palace (the official residence for the Danish royal family) in Copenhagen.
Earlier in the day, President Sisi arrived at the Danish Royal Palace for talks with King of Denmark Frederik X.
Upon his arrival, an official reception ceremony was held for President Sisi, with the military band playing the national anthems of both countries.
During his state visit to Denmark, which started on Thursday, President Sisi is scheduled to have talks with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen and Speaker of the Folketing (President of parliament) Soren Gade.
