Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi inspected on Wednesday the work progress of Abdel Maguid Mahmoud axis, which is one of the most important main axes being constructed in the Mokattam area in Greater Cairo.
This came within the framework of President Sisi’s keenness to follow up on development projects nationwide with the chief aim of pushing their implementation rates forward.
The inspection tour followed on Wednesday’s press conference the president held with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on the background of the Israeli attacks of the Palestinians in Gaza Strip.
The axis is one of the main arteries with high traffic density that serves large numbers of citizens.
President Sisi also inspected the construction work of Hasaballah Al-Kafrawi axis extension and the Nile Corniche in the Maadi area. The development works include 4.750km of roads and 1.600km of bridges in front of the Museum of Civilisations, along with the development of the Nile Corniche, starting from the Old Egypt until the intersection with the Ring Road as well as the development of the Misr-Helwan Agricultural Road and the Religious Complex Triangle.
President Sisi listened to a detailed report from those in charge of implementing the project. They said that each area on the axis in Mokattam contains a public library, a documentary film showroom, open and closed areas for weddings, car repair garage, and entertainment places for children.
President Sisi issued instructions to the authorities concerned to finish the projects on schedule and as per the highest global standards and specifications.
