President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has welcomed the convening of the Two-State Solution Conference in New York, describing it as a historic opportunity that must be seized to bring an end to decades of conflict and suffering in the Middle East.
He emphasized that the recognition of an independent State of Palestine and its realization on the ground is not a dream, but rather a legitimate right for which the Palestinian people have long struggled. He underscored that this struggle has been supported by the peoples of the world who share the aspiration for peace, Sisi wrote on his official social media accounts.
“The determination to uphold this right reflects a steadfast commitment to achieving justice,” El Sisi said, stressing that such recognition is essential to establishing a foundation for peace, security, and stability in the region.
The Egyptian President pointed out that the Two-State Solution represents the only viable path toward achieving lasting peace and ensuring enduring cooperation among the peoples of the region. He reiterated Egypt’s firm position in supporting the Palestinian cause and called on the international community to seize this moment to advance efforts toward a just and comprehensive settlement.
