Under the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Egypt airlifts emergency aid to Burundi as a continuation of its unwavering support and solidarity with the brotherly countries in various trials and tribulations.

The General Command of the Armed Forces issued orders for the dispatch of a military transport plane, loaded with medical supplies. The Shipment, carrying therapeutic milk for children, was sent by Egypt’s Ministry of Health and Population to the Republic of Burundi.

The military plane took off from Cairo East Air Base en route to Bujumbura International Airport “Melchior Ndadaye International Airport” in Burundi.

This aid is an affirmation of the national ties between Egypt and its brothers as well as its firm stance and full solidarity toward them in the face of trials and tribulations.
