Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli flew in to London on Sunday to take part on behalf of President Sisi in the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II and convey condolences to the government of the United Kingdom.
The Prime Minister will deputise for President Sisi in the UK state funeral for the late monarch, the Cabinet said in a statement yesterday.
The funeral procession will take place at London’s Westminster Abbey today. King Charles III and other royal family members will take part in the procession.
The Westminster Church is one of London’s historic places, built in the year 960 AD and has been the venue for every coronation since 1066. It was also the place where the late queen, then Princess Elizabeth, married Prince Philip in 1947.
