Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi called for maintaining the ongoing efforts to boost industrialisation and food production in Egypt, in light of the great importance of this vital sector in achieving food security, taking into account the successive changes and crises in this field at the global level.
The President’s remarks came during his meeting on Tuesday with Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli and a host of ministers and top government officials, Presidency Spokesman Ahmed Fahmy said.
During the meeting, the president also followed up on the progress of work in the Qaha and Edfina for Modern Food Industries and in the Silo Foods Industrial City in Sadat city, Menoufia Governorate.
The president noted that Silo Foods Industrial City is among the most important food and industrial projects at the state level as it includes several integrated production factories that are managed with high-level technical systems. It also includes a large area for storage and grain silos.
