The Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union (EU) leads the talks of COP 27 that started on Sunday in Sharm el-Sheikh on behalf of the EU as a whole, the Czech presidency said.
In a statement on Tuesday, the Czech presidency said that the event aims at building on the climate goals of COP 26.
The statement highlighted the Egyptian efforts exerted in the event, adding that Egypt shed light on the issues of limiting carbon emissions, adaptation with climate change, avoiding, reducing and handling damages of the harmful impact of the climate change and financing climate work in the developing countries.
