Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark Diocese congratulated members of the new government under Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli who took oath before President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Wednesday.
His congratulation cable read as follows: “The Coptic Orthodox Church under Pope Tawadros II wishes members of the new government to succeed in shouldering their huge responsibilities which represent a major challenge in light of the current circumstances.”
He wished they would meet the Egyptian people’s aspirations and alleviate the piling burdens on them in order to attain the goals of the new republic under President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
