CAIRO – Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Alaa Farouk asserted that the political leadership is keen on promoting relations with the African countries in the different domains upon the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

This came during Farouk’s speech at the annual ceremony of the Egyptian African Businessmen’s Association (EABA) in presence of Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhy and EABA Chairman Yusri el Sharkawy in addition to a number of ambassadors and development partners of the international and regional institutions and organizations and representative of 40 African countries, businessmen and investors.

Egypt can play a pioneering role in boosting agricultural co-operation with Africa and achieving sustainable development in the continent, Farouk said.

He invited Egyptian and African businessmen to discover the promising investment opportunities in the agricultural sector and build strategic partnerships that contribute to achieving sustainable development in Africa.

Farouk lauded the role of EABA as a pioneering Egyptian national platform in the field of developing Egyptian-African ties.
