The Egytian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli witnessed on Thursday the inking of a memorandum of understanding on Egypt’s hosting of the 10th round of Africities summit in 2025 in the presence of President of the United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG) organisation Fatimetou Abdel Malick.
The MoU was inked on the sidelines of the activities of COP 27 climate conference, currently in session in the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh by Local Development Minister Hisham Amna and Secretary General of UCLG Pierre Elong Mbassi.
Madbouli expressed happiness over Egypt’s hosting of Africities summit, asserting that this comes within the framework of boosting co-operation and coordination at the African level upon the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
He pointed out to the role of these summits in supporting the application of non-centralisation concepts at the African level in a way that enhances government’s efforts in developing African continent.
